EASY
Easy is a prototype of an active wheelchair with a modern design, quite different from traditional wheelchairs, consisting of welded profiles. It has been designed with attention to detail, with people for whom design matters in mind. Its weight is only 3 kg thanks to the combination of 3D printing and carbon fiber reinforcements.
Easy’s frame was 3D printed in one piece using the FDM method, minimising the number of connections that lead to a reduction in the wheelchair’s rigidity and that loosen up over time.

Production of the wheelchair using 3D printing allows to adjust the size and geometry of the frame, as well as the shape of the seat strictly to the client’s need, also based on a 3D scan of the body.
The project was developed based on testers’ feedback, which allowed refining the geometry, ergonomics and materials used.
